Venice is full of invaluable places or monuments such as St. Mark’s Square, the Bridge of Sighs, the Rialto Bridge and the Doge’s Palace. Obviously, the characteristic of the city comes from its numerous channels which furrow it.  In Venice, we walk or travel on water aboard several types of boats, gondolas, taxi-boats or public transport shuttles.

This virtual tour features images of Venice captured just before a torrential downpour.  The sky is sometimes threatening, but the clouds ignite in the heat of the sunrise. In order to visit Venice free from the crowd of the day in a quieter setting one should go out at the end of the night or before sunrise.

The interactive tour starts at St. Mark’s Square and Doge’s Palace which are glowing under a yellowish sunrise sky where gondolas are waiting a few hours before they will go ride on the Grand Canal.  We then walk along Fondamenta S. Felice at night with still water at the surface of the canal.  There is also a view at the same vantage point at Fondamenta S. Felice after sunrise with more agitated water.  A few other panoramas are presented along Fondamenta dei Ormesini, Rio de la Vesta and Rio dei S.S. Apostoli.

We look on the north and south sides of the famous Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal.  Finally, the last panorama shows the church Chiesa di San Moise.
